2026/27 New Nipper Registrations Open 15 July 2026

We're thrilled to announce that new registrations for the 2026/27 Coolum Beach Nippers season for Under 6–13 Age Groups are open on 15 July 2026!

Whether you're returning or brand new to the program, we'd love to welcome your family to be part of our incredible Nipper community.

Please check with us before registering to confirm availability and sign up before 1 August while spots last.

While we'd love to accommodate everyone, each age group will be capped to ensure the best experience and safety for our Nippers and volunteers. Registrations will close on 1 August 2026, or earlier if an age group reaches capacity.

Once an age group is full, we won't be able to accept additional registrations, so we encourage families to register early.

Please Note: Under 8s are almost at capacity with returning Nippers.

Register for Membership

1 – Go to Members Hub
Membership requests are completed online through the Members Hub here – https://hub.sls.com.au/sign-up

2 – Create an Account
Follow the prompts to create an account. Please note that parents/guardians are required to apply for an Associate Membership.

3 – Add Nippers & Parents/Guardians

• Add each Nipper.

4 – Pay Nipper Fees

• Under the 'Memberships' tab, navigate to 'Renewals, Payments & Transfers'.
• Follow the prompts to make the fee payment.
• Payment is required to complete the renewal process and each child's name must be referenced.

Membership Fees for the 2026/27 Season

1. Nipper Family Group: $250 (includes 1 Nipper + up to 2 Parents/Guardians)

2. Nipper Family Group: $400 (includes 2 Nippers + up to 2 Parents/Guardians)

3. Nipper Family Group: $465 (includes 3 Nippers + up to 2 Parents/Guardians)

4. Nipper Family Group: $530 (includes 4 Nippers + up to 2 Parents/Guardians)

Important: Payment is required to complete the registration process; however, payment does not guarantee a place in the program. All registrations will be reviewed and confirmed based on age group capacity. Families will be advised once their child's place has been confirmed.

Play On Sports Vouchers

Coolum Nippers is a registered provider for the Play On Sports Voucher Program, which can be used to assist with Nipper fees. At this stage, the release date for the next round of vouchers has not yet been announced.

For the 2026/27 season, all memberships must be paid in full at the time of registration. The club will not hold or reserve places for families who are waiting for vouchers to become available.

If you plan to use a voucher once it is released, you will still need to complete your registration and full payment upfront. When you receive your voucher, you can submit a reimbursement request. To do this, complete the Expense Reimbursement Form - Nippers Play On Voucher and email a copy of your voucher to slsc@coolumsurfclub.com.au.

Blue Card

Parents/Guardians who have registered for an Associate Membership must register for a Blue Card Services online account (there is no cost to you).

• Go to: Blue Card Services Online
• Complete the registration and record your Blue Card account number.

Send your Blue Card account number through to slsc@coolumsurfclub.com.au.

If you already hold a current Blue Card, please send through your Blue Card number and expiry date to slsc@coolumsurfclub.com.au.

Please note that your membership application cannot be progressed until this step has been completed.

Preliminary Evaluations

As part of the Junior Activities evaluation requirements, each year Nippers must participate in a two-part preliminary evaluation – a pool evaluation and a beach evaluation.

Following feedback from our Water Safety Team, we have strengthened our pool proficiency assessments. Please review the Nipper Handbook to understand your child's age-specific requirements and ensure they are confident and prepared.

We strongly recommend that Nippers participate regularly in a swimming program throughout the year.

Building on the success of last year, we've got some exciting things planned including Nipper social events, Twilight Nippers, lots of training opportunities and more!

Volunteers Make It Happen

As always, our club is built on the spirit of community and volunteering. Whether it's helping on the beach, cooking a BBQ, or assisting behind the scenes, every bit counts.

We will share volunteer opportunities in the near future. We appreciate your support and can't wait to welcome new and familiar faces into the season ahead.

Our Season

Our Nipper season runs every Sunday from mid-September to early March, between 7:50am – 10:15am (Under 6-7s: 7:50am – 9:15am). While our program includes beach learning and some swimming components, please note that it is not a learn-to-swim program. Children must demonstrate basic swimming skills to participate, which you can learn more about in our Nipper Handbook. To join us this season, watch for notifications around July each year or email your interest to slsc@coolumsurfclub.com.au
