Aussie Titles 2024 - Board Riding

Published: May 02, 2024 Last Updated: May 02, 2024

What an experience to be back at our home beach!

Our surfers battled it out making their way through quarters semi finals in certain age groups.

Josh and Toby A gave it their all in the short board section with some good scores,

Surfing skills were definitely on show with Kye A whom had 36 other competitors in the Open Short Board Riding category. Kye’s consistent surfing, high scores, fitness and agility gained him a top 6th place - epic performance Kye, just missing the final.

Lachlan Andrew never disappoints, with a shiny silver under his belt r in the U19s Board Riding.

Chris Atkinson showed perseverance making his way through rounds and quarters to semis in the 50-59 Male Short Board Riding.

Well done to our new competing Masters - Sandra and Emilie. Emilie grabbing Gold in Short and Long boards, and Sandra who earned two bronze medals.

Jake Harris surfed his way to a double silver in the Short and Long boards – well done!

Our Team Manager and Board Riding Captain showed us all how it is done on Friday when he secured his 11th consecutive Aussie Title’s gold in the Male Malibu 60-69 event. Well done Bruce D!

Jodie W exemplified yet again that she is made for the waves, bringing home a Gold in the 50-59 Female Short Board Riding, a Silver in the 50-59 Female Malibu Long Board Riding and a Bronze in the Open Female Malibu Long Board.

Congratulations to our first time competitors, our supporters and parents

Overall Coolum Beach in the Masters Board Riding section placed second (first to Noosa and Alex SLSC came third).  Coolum took out the overall Masters surfing points for Aussies 2024!

So if you can't join us, support us through one of the following options.
