Club Championships & Acer Cameron

“The 2012 Club Championship had a very different concept. Each Patrol Captain was asked to nominate members for team events. This resulted in what I like to refer to as the inaugural Patrol Challenge. The day was full of fun with most patrols joining in. The final event was a closely contested ‘Tug Of War – the results of which were surprising showing the experience of age out-smarting youth and brawn. Well done to all who had a go. Let’s hope next season the ‘Challenge’ will be bigger and better with all 14 Patrols contesting.

As usual the Acer Cameron Board Riding was hotly contested. With a good strong swell running eight competitors gave their best with many demonstrating amazing skills on patrol mals and Bruce Dunne showed fine form to take out the 2012 Acer Cameron."
