information on Surf Sports.
In addition, particular Surf Sports activities can also be obtained by contacting one of the
members listed below, by reference to the Club Notice Board, or by contacting the Surf Sports

Club Social Swim Calendar
The Club is running a social swim (weather permitting) for all members (Juniors included) on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month at 9am.
There will be a BBQ for all participants, costing $2, following each swim

Club Subsidies
Each year the Club Management Committee will release a Subsidy Scheme for any available subsidies for the Australian Championships. This scheme forms a list of criteria members must satisfy in order to receive assistance by the club to attend the Australian Championships.

If you wish to assist the Club in becoming an official at ANY carnival throughout the year, you need to join the Sunshine Coast Branch Board of Surf Sports (free).

There are many requirements members must meet in order to be eligible to compete in Surf Sports. These requirements are set by both Coolum Beach SLSC and Surf Life Saving Australia.

All members who wish to compete using club equipment and especially those who are applying for any available subsidies for the Australian Championships are required to undertake rostered Friday night Goose Club and Sunday Raffles.

Competitors please note the following notice received from SLSQ:
Clubs should note that if they are approached to participate in “non-sanctioned” events (e.g. those events that are not listed on the 2007/2008 competition program) prior approval from the respective Branch and/or Surf Life Saving Queensland must be obtained in writing. Clubs and/or members must also ensure that, if they wish to participate in interstate or overseas carnivals, prior approval from the respective Branch and Surf Life Saving Queensland is obtained in writing. Without prior approval the members will jeopardise their insurance cover.
Contravention to this directive and breach of Appendix 2.1 (page 2-2) of the Competition Manual (32nd Edition) will result in disciplinary action.
