In a moving memorial service, Life Member, founder of the infamous 79ers swimming club and architect of the Coolum Beach iconic 1962 “shark tower” clubhouse, Peter Lambert was farewelled on Saturday morning.

Despite the chilly conditions, the 79ers swam out to honour Peter as his ashes were spread in the water he loved so much. Peters son, Eric, as well as a number of family friends then celebrated Peters life with some moving stories about his life.
