Missing James "The Rocket" Sweetman due to injury, Locki and Ronan took on the gruelling Eliminator Challenge head on.

Red Youth Go For Gold

Held at Alex SLSC in challenging surf, the boys competed in an elimination format where they completed back to back races of board, swim, board and sprint. Both of them competed well and advanced through all stages to the final 8 in flags. Locki came in 7th overall and Ronan finished a controversial 4th, just missing out on some prize money.

Both the boys said it was one of the hardest events they have done, up there with the Youth Coolangatta Gold.
