Other than the honour of keeping our beaches safe, there’s one thing Coolum Beach SLSC has been amazing at doing for many years - and that’s fundraising.
Whether it’s barbeques for our Nippers or working hard to get individuals or teams to the state or national titles, our club members always roll up their sleeves to help others’ dreams come true.
So, when one of our club’s Gold sponsors, Bendigo Bank gave us a way to earn more money on top of their generous annual sponsorship, we got excited.
It started when local manager, Kerryn Vincart let us know about and incentive program for the club where members could bring their home loan over to Bendigo Bank, and they would, in-turn, give more funds back to the club.
One family took them up on it was Timothy and Rebecca Eller. This week, they were really excited to give back another $690.00 back to Coolum Beach SLSC just for choosing to bank with Bendigo with their home loan.
“When it was time to get our home loan, we started talking with Kerryn and the team. We knew they were great supporters of Coolum SLSC and they continue to do fantastic things for so many on the North Shore, so it was a no brainer,” Rebecca said.
“I’m so glad we did it, and we encourage more or our club members to do business with Kerryn and the team at Bendigo Bank. They’re local, they just get it and they’ve been great supporters of our club for a long time. The fact they give more money back to our club just by moving your home loan over is another bonus,” she added.
For Kerryn, it’s the next step in what has become a great partnership
“I think more locals are wanting a better relationship with their bank. Apart from being North Shore locals ourselves, we’ve given back more than $700,000 to clubs, schools and organisations. This incentive program with Coolum Beach SLSC means anyone can do above average things with their average home loan,” Kerryn shared.
“Timothy and Rebecca showed how easy it is. Imagine the funds the club would receive if more supporters did the same? Everyone has to bank somewhere, so why not do it with a bank that’s helping make a difference where we live?” Kerryn concluded.
You can chat with Kerryn, Mark and the team about this and any of the full-banking services available on 5448 8582, or in person at 930 David Low Way, Marcoola.
