Competitors please note the following notice received from SLSQ:
Clubs should note that if they are approached to participate in “non-sanctioned” events (e.g. those events that are not listed on the 2007/2008 competition program) prior approval from the respective Branch and/or Surf Life Saving Queensland must be obtained in writing. Clubs and/or members must also ensure that, if they wish to participate in interstate or overseas carnivals, prior approval from the respective Branch and Surf Life Saving Queensland is obtained in writing. Without prior approval the members will jeopardise their insurance cover.
Contravention to this directive and breach of Appendix 2.1 (page 2-2) of the Competition Manual (32nd Edition) will result in disciplinary action.
